Mission Statement
To effectively teach God's Word in order to develop Disciples of Jesus the Christ both domestically and globally through:
1. Worship (leiturgia) This is more than a song or a clapping of the hands. It’s spirituality, which means our way of being in the world before a Holy God. There must be a deeper hunger and a deeper thirst for God through Jesus Christ in our individual life.
2. Teaching (didache) The history of the church focuses on one central point: the incarnation, life, passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, who has become the Christ. This is the reason for our life, being, and purpose.
3. Proclamation (kerygma) We gladly make boasts of a saving God whose Word that has become flesh is with and for the people being fashioned in His Likeness. This is simply the Good News concerning the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ.
4. Service (diakonia) We are to care for others by showing compassion. Compassion, meaning “to suffer with,” suggests not a pity directed at the weak but a sharing between those who appear to be strong and those who appear to be weak.
5. Fellowship (koinonia) The goal embodied in ministry is the movement toward unity and union with others: community and communion. It begins by having Christ as the common goal in mind.
